A lip filler checklist for Korea
Use these points when you message clinics. Each answer tells you something a portfolio cannot.
- A shape plan before a volume plan. The doctor should talk about the border, the cupid's bow and the balance between upper and lower lip before naming a cc amount.
- Cold sore history. Lip injections can trigger herpes labialis in people who carry it. A clinic that asks about cold sores is screening properly.
- The product, sealed. You should see the box opened and be able to read the lot number.
- Numbing and lidocaine. Ask whether numbing cream is used and whether the product contains lidocaine, especially if you have reacted to local anesthetic before.
- A dissolving plan. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Ask whether that is done on site if a problem appears.
- Paired photos. Matching angle and lighting in every pair, ideally many pairs, so you can see the range of results.
- Swelling time against your flight. Lip swelling is noticeable for two to three days, so the appointment should not sit on the eve of a wedding or a long-haul flight.
Best lip filler Busan: comparing the clinic types

Lip filler at Barog Clinic falls under Dr. Seongkyu Park, medical director in Seomyeon, Busan since 2021 (Korean medical license KMLE 127092). Filler is his main field, alongside botulinum toxin, thread lifting and body filler.
His injection work is recognized by three manufacturers: Galderma names him a Restylane Expert Member, Merz Korea a Belotero key doctor and Hugel a Byryzn key doctor. For lips this is practical information, because Restylane Kiss is one of the rows on the price board.
He will also tell you when a lip is already in proportion and adding volume would push it out of balance.
Seeing the lip filler product opened
Since 2021 the clinic has performed more than 100,000 facial filler treatments. Sixteen certificates of genuine supply are on display inside, covering the filler and booster brands used on site.
The lip filler box is opened in front of you on the treatment chair. You can read the product name and the lot number before injection, and keep a photo of the label for your own records if you are traveling home soon after.

Who should not get lip filler yet, and the named risks
Lip filler waits during pregnancy and breastfeeding, while a cold sore is active, and while there is any infection or inflammation on the lips. A known reaction to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine changes the plan, and blood thinners must be mentioned because they raise bruising. If you ask for more volume than your lips can carry in proportion, the doctor will suggest a smaller amount or decline.
The common effects are swelling, bruising, asymmetry and small lumps. Cold sores can flare after injection; a 2026 longitudinal study examined that link in people having repeated lip augmentation, so a history of sores belongs in your first message. The rare serious risk is vascular occlusion, where filler blocks a blood vessel. Published case reports describe upper lip tissue damage when it is missed. Timing lip filler on a trip to Seomyeon, Busan
The injection takes about 10 to 20 minutes after numbing. Swelling is most visible for two to three days, and any bruising fades over several days. Results usually last about six to twelve months, shorter than slower-moving areas because lips move so much.
The clinic is about two minutes on foot from Seomyeon Station. Weekday hours are 10:00 to 20:00, Saturday 10:00 to 16:00, and it is closed on Sunday. An early-trip appointment leaves swelling time before you fly.
