What to check before booking skin treatments in Korea
A one-off filler visit and a five-session toning course need different things from a clinic. For skin work, put these questions to every clinic on your list.
- Who reads your pigment. Melasma, freckles and post-acne marks respond differently to the same laser. A doctor should look at your skin before a device is chosen.
- The device name. A price row that says PicoWay can be researched. A row that says only "toning" cannot.
- A written course. Ask for the number of sessions and the spacing in writing, so you know whether the plan fits one trip or several.
- The injectable on the box. Rejuran, Re2O and boosters arrive sealed with a lot number. You should be able to watch the box being opened.
- A sun and medication question. A clinic that asks about recent tanning and light-sensitizing medication before toning is screening for pigment problems.
- Prices with VAT stated. Korean price boards often list prices without the 10% VAT, so check which way the figure is shown.
- A plan for the week after. Injection bumps, redness and scabs affect sightseeing and photos. You should hear about them up front.
Best skin treatments Busan: how clinic formats differ
Across Korea, skin care is offered in roughly three formats. The table shows what each tends to do well and the question worth asking a clinic of that format.
| Format | Typical strength | Weak spot for a short-stay visitor | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|---|
| Multi-branch chain | Wide menu, many devices, flexible booking | The doctor may change between sessions of a course | Will the same doctor review my skin at each session? |
| Doctor-led independent clinic | The same doctor follows the course from start to finish | Fewer devices, so some combinations may be unavailable | Is the device my plan needs on site? |
| Single-method specialist | Deep experience with one laser or one injectable | Mixed concerns such as pigment plus dryness may need a second method | Does my concern need more than this one method? |
Barog Clinic is a single location at Seomyeon Station in Busan that keeps toning lasers, skin boosters, Rejuran and laser hair removal in the same building as its filler and lifting work.

Who looks after your skin plan at Barog Clinic
Dr. Seongkyu Park has been the medical director of Barog Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan since 2021. His Korean medical license number is KMLE 127092, so his registration can be checked independently. Day to day he concentrates on injection work: filler, botulinum toxin, thread lifting and body filler.
That work has drawn recognition from three manufacturers: Restylane Expert Member (Galderma), Belotero key doctor (Merz Korea) and Byryzn key doctor (Hugel).
Laser and energy-based lifting is handled by Dr. Woori Ryu. For a skin course, tell the team what you want treated when you first message, and ask which doctor will examine you on the day.
Checking the products and lasers used for skin treatments
Skin boosters look alike once they are in a syringe, so the check has to happen at the box. At Barog Clinic, injectables are opened in front of the patient and the box and lot number can be read on the spot. Sixteen certificates of genuine supply are on display inside the clinic, including one for Rejuran.
The skin lineup is listed by name: PicoWay for pico toning, a dual toning setup that pairs pico toning with a long-pulse laser in one session, Apogee for laser hair removal, a CO2 laser for mole removal, and Rejuran, Re2O and Juvelook among the injectables. If a device name you want is missing from the board, ask before you travel.
Finding photos for toning, Rejuran and other skin work
There are no photos on this page. Skin results are easier to judge next to the treatment they belong to, so open the page for the procedure you are considering. When comparing any skin photos, check the lighting first: a brighter room can make pigment look lighter than it is.
When skin treatments should wait, and the risks by name
Some situations call for a delay. A recent strong tan, light-sensitizing medication or an active skin infection postpones pico toning and dual toning. Anyone sensitive to salmon-derived ingredients should not have Rejuran. Pregnancy and breastfeeding rule out boosters and Rejuran. A mole that is irregular in shape or growing quickly is not removed for cosmetic reasons; it needs a tissue check first.
Each treatment has named risks. Toning can cause redness and temporary darkening of pigment (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation), and rarely pale spots or blistering. A 2015 study linked how often melasma was laser-toned to the appearance of leukoderma, one reason spacing matters. Rejuran and boosters leave injection bumps for one to three days, with possible bruising and swelling. Mole removal leaves a scab for about one to two weeks and can recur when the mole runs deep.
Fitting a skin course around trips to Busan
Course length decides how many visits you need. Pico toning usually runs five to ten sessions two to four weeks apart. Rejuran is usually three to four sessions three to four weeks apart. Hydrating boosters start with one to three sessions three to four weeks apart, then upkeep every two to six months. Facial laser hair removal usually needs five or more sessions three to four weeks apart.
A single trip works for a first toning session or one booster round. Mole removal needs a week or two of scab care with sun protection, so book it early in a stay. The clinic is about two minutes on foot from Seomyeon Station and opens 10:00 to 20:00 on weekdays and 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday.

What our patients say.
Here are photos after the thread lifting and Ultherapy procedures. The thread lifting showed immediate results haha. The accessibility is good, and they take great care of the procedure.
I visit this clinic at least once a month these days because I'm going through a skin slump. The biggest advantage is that you can get treatment right away without an appointment! As someone with an unpredictable schedule, I consider this…
Great location! Plus, there's hardly any waiting time, and everything is done quickly and efficiently, which is great because it saves me time compared to how often I used to spend at clinics! I've given it 5 stars because I'm hoping for…

Land, check in,
walk over.
Most international patients build the visit into a Busan trip: land at Gimhae in the morning, check in near Seomyeon, walk over for a consultation the same afternoon. Treatments like filler and toning take under an hour, which leaves the evening for Seomyeon's food alleys. If you are coming from Seoul, the KTX puts you at Busan Station in under three hours, ten minutes from our door.
