The hair growth cycle sets the session count
Each follicle moves through a growing stage, a short transition and a long resting stage. The laser targets pigment in the hair shaft, and it only disables follicles that are in the growing stage at the moment of treatment.
Because the follicles in any patch of skin are out of step with one another, one session reaches just part of them. Repeating treatment across several cycles is what gradually lowers the number of hairs that come back.
Body intervals run longer than facial ones
Body hair cycles slowly, so body sessions are usually set four to eight weeks apart. Facial hair turns over faster, which is why facial sessions sit closer together at three to four weeks.
Coming back sooner than advised adds little, since the next wave of growing hairs has not surfaced yet. A long gap slows progress without undoing what earlier sessions achieved.
What pushes your own number up or down
Dark, coarse hair on lighter skin gives the laser a clear target and usually needs fewer rounds. Fine, light, grey or red hair carries little pigment and responds weakly, so some people see only a partial reduction however many sessions they have.
Hormones matter too. Areas driven by hormones, such as the chin in women or the chest and back in men, often need extra sessions, and shifts later in life can wake up dormant follicles.
Keeping a course on track between sessions
Shaving between visits is fine and keeps things tidy. Waxing, threading and plucking are not, since they empty the follicle and leave the next session with nothing to aim at.
Protect treated areas from strong sun between rounds so you are not turned away for a tan, and note the date of each session per area. When several zones run in parallel, a simple list keeps each one within its own four to eight week window.
Matching the count to Barog package sizes
The board sells large areas such as thighs, calves and arms from ₩100,000 for a single women's session, with five-, ten- and twenty-session packages. Small areas like knees or the tops of the feet start from ₩50,000 per session on the same tiers.
Underarms and the Brazilian are sold in five- or ten-session packages. Men's rows are priced higher, and VAT is added to all figures.
