Why underarm hair needs several laser sessions

Arrive with clean, dry skin. Deodorant and creams are easy to wipe off, but it saves a few minutes if you leave them out that morning.

When underarm laser treatment is postponed

The team will hold off if your underarms are freshly tanned, if you take medication that makes skin sensitive to light, or if there is a rash or infection in the area. Pregnancy normally means waiting as well.

Possible reactions include redness, swollen follicles, patches of skin that turn temporarily darker or lighter, folliculitis and, rarely, a burn. Mention any of these from past treatment during the consultation.
