What changes between the two photos
A good lip result changes three things. The red part of the lip shows a little more height, the border between lip and skin looks crisper, and the corners sit level or slightly lifted. The Cupid's bow often becomes more defined without the upper lip looking heavier.
The change is usually modest in numbers and large in effect. A measured amount of hyaluronic acid can shift the balance between upper and lower lip, which is often what makes the mouth look fuller in photographs.
How to compare photos fairly
Look for the same lighting, the same camera distance and a relaxed, closed mouth in both frames. Smiling, pouting or a different angle can exaggerate or hide volume. A side view is useful too, since projection is clearest in profile.
Check when the after photo was taken. Lips swell more than most areas, and the first two or three days show extra fullness that fades. A fair after picture comes once swelling has gone down and the gel has settled.
Why Korean lip results tend to look natural
The common style in Korea favours soft volume and a clean outline over a large, projected shape. At Barog the design is chosen along one axis per session, whether volume, border contour or corner lift, which keeps each step readable.
Natural does not mean invisible. The aim is lips that look like your own on a good day, still moving normally when you talk and eat.
Bringing a reference photo helps, as long as it shows a mouth with proportions close to yours. A lip shape borrowed from a face with a different chin, nose or philtrum length can look out of place, and the injector will explain which features of the picture can realistically be matched.
Limits and risks worth knowing
Swelling and bruising are expected, and uneven sides, small lumps or a cold sore flare can occur. Rarely a vessel is affected, and the clinic keeps a dissolving enzyme on hand to act at once. Lip filler also fades faster than filler in quieter areas because the mouth moves constantly, usually within six to twelve months.
A cold sore that is currently active, pregnancy, nursing and any earlier reaction to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine all mean waiting. Your own before-and-after depends on your starting lip shape, so photos of others set expectations only.
